Feelings/mood- What are you trying to communicate in your photographs?
I spent a while trying to figure out angles. I think I may have shot a hundred photos or more this week looking for the right one and trying to get the focus right. I think I was going for an almost abstract feel to some of them, which I didn't exactly intend, but I really like.
Subject placement- What areas of the images are important to you? This week it's different with each picture. I love the red of the fish's eye, but I think the lines down the fern leaf are super pretty.
Multilayered- Describe the multilayers of meaning in your photographs. Look at things a different way. I mean, that's really the big thing. Stuff isn't always what it seems, or maybe it's exactly what it seems, but it still can look different.
Depth of field- If parts of the image are out of focus why did you choose to photograph those areas out of focus?
Focus was tough this week. I had a heck of a time getting my depth of field to cooperate. I really like the blurred ghost of the foreground that almost insists you look deeper into the rest of the photo..
Light- What light sources did you use to photograph your images this week. (natural, window, outdoor, or flash) If you used your flash explain how the artificial light was a better choice than natural light.
I mostly went for natural light, but the fish was in a tank, and the lava lamp(the orange pic) obviously WAS a lamp.
Improvement- What would you do to improve your photographs if you were to reshoot them?
Now that I've got the hang of it, I'd like to do this again and spend a lot more time crawling under stuff. I got some interesting looks out of my friends during this week.
