Feelings/mood-
What are you trying to communicate in your photographs?
I actually love these
photos. He looks so serious, but they make me smile every time I look at them.
He didn’t have a moment of hesitation when I asked him to sit for me. I hope
anyone looking at them can see that.
Subject
placement- What areas of the images are important to you?
My god, his eyes came out
great. Every shot I got of him, even the ones that were blurry and I didn’t post
have amazing eyes.
Multilayered-
Describe the multilayers of meaning in your photographs.
So the model here is my
boyfriend, and I’ve never taken anything but the occasional selfie with him. It’s
a little dumb, but I sorta feel like these pictures are special because of
that.
Depth
of field- If parts of the image are out of focus why did you choose to
photograph those areas out of focus?
The only thing out of
focus is on the image I did it deliberately to. I would have been happier if
the sheet behind him was a little less
sharp atually.
Light-
What light sources did you use to photograph your images this week. (natural,
window, outdoor, or flash) If you used your flash explain how the artificial
light was a better choice than natural light.
No flash. No artificial
light of any kind. Our flat has big bay windows. I put the sheet up next to
one. The light was a little blue, but since the pics were gonna be b&w
anyway…
Improvement-
What would you do to improve your photographs if you were to reshoot them?
I think I’d have him wear
something more interesting, and I’d catch him on a day he has off. He looks a
little tired and I felt bad for asking him to help me with my homework when he
was already nuked out.
